I wouldnt say it was amazing because there were alot of faults that made me emo kid BUT

IT WAS F****NG AMAZING!

Me and my best friend went as the Chesshire Twins from Ouran High School Host Club Haruhi in wonderland episode and we Were SO popular it was so amazing! now we know kinda how to do our cosplays nao

Because! Our first year going together, two years Ago, we were Deidara and Sasori
We figured out alot of people didnt know who we were because
A: The shippuden hadnt come out in english yet
B: Naruto really wasnt all that popular at the time.
C: our cloaks sucked ass

THEN
Last year we were Light Yagami and L
as alot of you probably know, Deathnote is a modern anime which means no funky dressups and kinda bland characters... WELL We figured that since deathnote was pretty popular we'd get alot of comments...
WRONG
Maybe five to ten people asked for our pictures and even then they didnt really seem all that thrilled with out outfits but no offense they were pretty boring cosplays.

So this time we decided we were going to do something MARVELOUS for our cos. Something Beyond modern, something that would stick out like a sore thumb. and there it was.

we were bound and determined to be noticed. and if nothing else, the twins are pretty damn cool

but. we knew from last year that just any old school uniform version would be a repeat of light and l so after much consideration we went about doing the chesshire cats

OHMYF***NGGOD

It was SO HARD and SO much stress

as im sure the rest of the continent knows, Money isnt exactly something you can come by easily and when your 15 and inexperienced not alot of people will hire you.

but after much stress many chores and lots and lots of begging, we had everything

two sets of dark purple skinny jeans
two long sleeve form fitting purple shirts(after dying them four times)
Two lighter purple tank tops(sans stripes)
two pairs of black converse(after much arguing+Begging)
two neon orange glow-in-the-dark wigs
two bright yellow bandanas
fluffy purple boas
3 spools of purple ribbon(when we really only needed two)
random purple fabric that we never used.

by this time it was already thursday. shit.
so, staying up till just about midnight friday morning we were done. and it looked spectacular. then. we were off.

friday was pretty uneventful.. there wasnt much to do. and wasnt really feeling well.. so, regrettably we left early, missing the Hsu-nami concert. DAMN!

Saturday morning. yeah. pretty uneventful we walked around for quite some time before getting something to eat. while we were at the mall, we hung out with Crimson she helped me fix my ears while we chatted for a while. shes pretty awesome. then it was time to go watch the cosplays. while waiting in line we met back up with someone who we had seen periodically over the previous day: Axel and his trusty companion Stripper Roxas.

Skits were really good this year, and i caught most in pictures or videos ill put the pics up and links to the vids soon.

after that we chilled for a bit, went and got supper before heading to the rave where, we went in for about 20 minutes, came out, went in for 10 minutes came out, went in for 5 and then just stayed outside. I was part of a pelvic thrust line with Axel and we did the Time warp, scream-sang im on a boat and Yatta'd until 10:30 because someone O.d.'d

Sunday. ho my, if you want the full boring, cold heart emo kid story about sunday send me a note,otherwise, im giving you the short vers.

we got to portcon and beelined it for the dealers rooms to see if any prices had gone down. no such luck. there was a bag that i wanted. badly. it was $30. on the other hand, there was a kimono that i also wanted made by that was also $30.
So, knowing that it was the last day of portcon and prices usually go down to pretty much nothing, and i had $20. my friends were willing to split prices(much to my disliking) if it came to that. so, we kept checking up on them and no such luck, but everyone eventually got hungry, and so we went to go eat with axel and long story short, when we came back, dealers room was closed. i was pissed.
We spent the rest of the day with Axel, and it was amazing.

The good weighs out the bad and all in all it was the best portcon yet.
